Dan Ambrose

Dan Ambrose is a veteran trial attorney with more than two decades of experience and over 150 jury trials, making him one of the most battle-tested advocates in the courtroom. He began his legal career in Detroit, Michigan, where he spent 18 years practicing criminal defense and building a reputation for powerful, client-focused advocacy.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Dan earned his law degree from the Detroit College of Law while working and running his own painting business—an entrepreneurial path he started as a teenager and continued into his early legal career. Coming from a family of lawyers, he was immersed in the legal profession from an early age, shaping his competitive drive and commitment to trial work.

Throughout his career, Dan has trained extensively in trial advocacy, attending programs such as the National Criminal Defense College, the Western Trial Advocacy Institute, and Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College. These experiences helped refine his approach to storytelling, persuasion, and courtroom presence.

After transitioning from criminal defense to civil litigation, Dan expanded his focus to include consulting, trial coaching, and teaching. He is the creator of “The Method,” a structured training system developed through intensive collaboration with other trial lawyers. The program emphasizes repetition, video analysis, and honest feedback to help attorneys quickly identify weaknesses and elevate their performance in trial.

Now based on the West Coast, Dan continues to work with trial lawyers across the country, helping them develop the skills necessary to succeed in high-stakes litigation. His career reflects a deep commitment not only to advocacy but also to mastering and teaching the craft of trial law.
