About Anneshia

Anneshia Miller is the principal attorney at AMG LAW and has more than 17 years of experience practicing family law throughout Virginia. She handles custody, support, separation, protective orders, and military and high-asset divorce, for clients across Northern Virginia.

She built her practice in Hampton Roads, where she worked through military-specific issues such as military retirement, the Uniformed Services Former Spouses Protection Act, the Survivor Benefit Plan, disability pay and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. She has been a military spouse for more than 15 years, which shapes how she approaches relocation, deployments and parenting time.

In her episode, Anneshia talks through two matters: a Supreme Court of Virginia case on how the state’s spousal support law applies to same-sex couples, and a divorce that turned on marital assets one spouse had kept out of view.

She tells clients that no attorney can guarantee what will happen in a courtroom, and that her job is to make sure they understand the possibilities, good and bad, before they walk in.
